Donations

Habitat for Humanity Orillia/Lake Country relies heavily on support from the local community in the form of volunteer time, leadership, construction labour, as well as donated land, building materials, equipment and financial support.

Habitat believes that its philosophy of hands-on home construction and partnership creates a sense of pride and belonging for the Habitat families.

Thank you for your support of Habitat for Humanity Orillia/Lake Country. Your gift helps us accomplish our goal of eliminating poverty housing throughout our community. The area of support includes the Township of Severn, the Township of Oro-Medonte, the Township of Ramara and the City of Orillia.

Tax receipts will be issued for all cash donations of $10 or more.

Memorial Donations

Donations may also be made in honour of family and friends. Finding the right gift for a loved one can be a challenge. Whether you want to find the perfect gift for the person who has everything or honour or remember a loved one, a gift from the heart is truly a special offering. Your gift will be used to help families in need get out of poverty housing and give them an opportunity for a better future.

Corporate Partnerships

Involve your company on a larger scale - provide a financial donation, donate new building materials or services. Other ways you could help are to involve your employees in company held fundraising events or donate the time of a member of your staff to help with construction or administrative work.

Gift In Kind

Donated building materials keep our costs down. If you have a donation of new building materials (flooring, trim, windows) of the grade Habitat uses, or can provide experienced volunteers, we would love to speak with you about a donation that will help change our community for the better. A gift in kind of office equipment or supplies is also welcomed. Items would include paper, postage, print services, computers and more.

Gift of Land

A donation of land in the City of Orillia, the Township of Severn, the Township of Oro-Medonte or the Township of Ramara is the most precious fiscal resource that we need. If you have land that could be used or land that could be severed to provide a housing lot, we would be very interested in hearing from you.
